1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Pekerly, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. The Pekerly marketplace
Pekerly operates an online marketplace that connects customers (“families”) with independent service providers (“helpers”) for cleaning, childcare, errands, cooking, and companion care. Pekerly is not the employer of any helper and does not provide the services directly.
3. User accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
4. Bookings and payments
Bookings are priced upfront based on service type, duration, urgency, and location. Payment is authorized at booking and charged after the job is completed or cancelled according to our cancellation policy. Refunds and disputes are handled within the 72-hour dispute window described in our help center.
5. Provider obligations
Helpers agree to arrive on time, perform services in a safe and professional manner, pass required background checks, maintain any required licenses or credentials, and comply with all applicable laws. Failure to meet these obligations may result in removal from the platform.
6. Customer responsibilities
Customers agree to provide accurate booking details, ensure a safe working environment, disclose any hazards or special needs, and treat helpers with respect. Harassment, discrimination, or abuse will result in account termination.
7. Insurance and liability
Pekerly maintains insurance coverage for bookings completed through the platform as described in our Trust & Safety materials. Pekerly is not liable for disputes, injuries, or losses arising from interactions outside the platform or from violations of these terms by users.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate an account at any time. Pekerly may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, pose a safety risk, or engage in fraudulent activity.
9. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas.
